I loved my Grandfather. He's the one who taught me how to fish and skip stones on the river.

My favorite memory of my Granddad George was when we were out fishing one afternoon. We both caught a fish, my granddad caught the first fish and I caught the second one. After I caught my fish, he unhooked it and as he did, he went on and on about how big my fish was and how it was so much bigger than his and I believed him. He put the fish in the holding tank and when I went over to look in, He said "see the big fish is the one you caught." The big fish was 14 inches long. For years I bragged about the 14 inch fish that I caught with Granddad George. It is only now that I have my own son, that I realize in retrospect that I had not caught the 14 inch fish, I caught the 6 inch fish. At five years old, I would never had the strength or ability to reel in a 14 inch fish.

That memory is only more special now that I realize the truth about our fishing expedition. When I was yound he left me with a memory of my catching a bigger fish than he did. I had a huge fish story to tell everyone for many years. And now that I am older, he has left me with an even more memorable story to tell.

That one story in itself describes who my Granddad George was.

Grand Mom and her chocolate chip cookies. They were to die for, at least to me they were the best. I don't think I ever felt more content then in her kitchen. She would always call me to tell me they were in the oven. She knew I liked them hot and gooey. When she called, I would stop everything and run across the street to her house. Even today, everytime I smell chocolate chip cookies, I think of her and her wonderful smile, her hugs, her warm kitchen, and those special cookies.

My favorite memory of my Grandmother is more of a collection of memories from each Christmas. When I think of Christmas, I always think of my Grandmother.

Every Christmas, my father would put up the tree and string the lights. We would wait in anticipation until my father was finished, because then the best part of the tree trimming would be left to us, my 2 brothers, my Grandmother and me. My Grandmother would turn on the old classic Christmas music where we would listen to Bing Crosby dreaming of a White Christmas and she would pour herself an eggnog and my brothers and I would get cranberry juice.

We would pull out Christmas ornaments, always in sets of threes, because there were 3 grandchildren and begin to decorate the tree. And every year we would each get a new ornament for the tree that year. We would sing and dance and throw clumps of tinsel on the tree here and there. The majority of the ornaments would always end up on one side of the tree and always towards the bottom, but as children, we never noticed. And when we were finished she would always stand back and exclaim that we had the prettiest tree ever and that she had the best tree trimmers ever.

Tree trimming was always one of the highlights of Christmas and that had to do with my Grandmother and how she made us feel. To this day, I don't know if my Grandmom was just as excited as us to begin our tree trimming adventure or if she fed off of our excitement.

I like your site, however, if I could make a suggestion. You provide services to a friend of mine's father and she told me about a medication reminder program you have. I had a hard time finding your "Companioncalls" program. Maybe you could make that a separate page or highlight with a title that is called Medication Reminder Program so it can be more easily found.

What is the pricing for your medication reminder program? Please feel free to email me.
Thanks
