Your Home Companion are very special people. All of our Companions are compassionate, caring and fully aware of the special needs of adults, seniors and the disabled. Our family of caregivers include male caregivers, spanish speaking caregivers (bilingual caregivers), live-in Caregivers etc. Our Companions receive extensive, continuing training and all are carefully instructed on the support and special requirements of each individual and family. Once a match has been made between our Client and Companion, your home companion is then familiarized with current and past health information, needs, interests, hobbies, as well as dietary needs and preferences.
Before receiving his or her case assignments, each member of our highly skilled team of home care companions goes through a rigorous hiring process. We perform the following on all Companions before they become employees of Your Home Companion:
*Drug screen
*Driver’s license verification.
*National criminal background check (Level 2 screening with fingerprints)
*References, both personal & business are checked.
*Verification from Office of Inspector General. Verifies that there haven’t been convictions of program-related fraud and patient abuse, licensing board actions and default on Health Education Assistance Loans.
*CPR certificate verification (if not CPR certified, we offer CPR classes withing 30 days of employment)
